Arpit Agarwal is a pioneer of Private Banking in India and the Asia-Pacific Region. He has conceptualised, launched and successfully built sizeable Private Banking businesses for DSP Merrill Lynch, BNP Paribas, ICICI Bank Ltd and Dawnay Day AV.
With over 15 years of experience in managing ultra-high-net-worth businesses, he has the longest standing direct experience in the field of private banking in India. Under his leadership, the Private Banking business of ICICI Bank was ranked as the largest in India in February 2005 by CLSA and also amongst the top 3 in Asia Pacific in September 2005 by Private Banker International.
Over the last 15 years, he has developed invaluable experience building wealth management businesses from scratch across diversified organisational objectives and wealth client segments. His last assignment with Dawnay Day AV was as MD & Group CEO of the Financial Services business. Dawnay Day AV was set up as a specialized financial services provider and their operations covered Wealth Management, Stock Broking, Retail Distribution, Corporate Finance, Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Real Estate Advisory and Research Services.
Arpit Agarwal is a Post Graduate in Finance from Delhi University and a Graduate of Science from St. Stephen’s College in Delhi, India and is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Arpit has been instrumental in launching Private Banking elective programmes in over 26 MBA schools.
Arpit is a widely-known industry authority in the private wealth management industry and has been invited to speak and chair the world’s leading international private banking conferences – including those arranged by Terrapinn in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.
