Charles Marais is a qualified attorney with postgraduate qualifications in income tax law and financial markets and instruments. He has experience in all aspects of project finance (including export credit) and has been instrumental in the successful closure of projects in virtually all areas of economic activity.
He is a former general manager of Absa Corporate & Merchant Bank, after leaving Charles was associated with the Bridge Capital Group in Sandton, where he was involved in the advising on and arranging of finance for projects in South Africa, Spain, Mozambique, and Botswana.
