Dean McMinn is a leading expert with over 10 years of international experience in Mining Modelling. He brings to the workshop his unique wealth of expertise in both geology and finance and has formal qualifications in both areas too. With regards to finance - Dean has invaluable personal experience in building numerous complex financial models for live bids. He has been THE bid modeller for many large deals involving assets in excess of $1 billion. While at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), he was heavily involved in building the Model Audit capability. He has consulted for Macquarie Bank, ABN Amro, AAP and Microsoft.
In addition to being involved in trouble shooting and developing practical operational applications and he has consulted on Excel Security and Protection. Dean also has technical experience in project generation, mining investment analysis, mineral exploration and geology. His expertise includes structural geology, remote sensing, GIS (Geographical Information Systems), VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) and International business enterprise development.
