Ian Curry is a director of Basil Read Energy (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of the Basil Read Group of companies. As a diversified African energy company, Basil Read Energy believes that the key to sustainable energy resolution is through utilising the best renewable and non-renewable solutions to create a model that is completely unique to South Africa and Africa as a continent.
Ian has extensive experience in the energy industry with a specific focus on Renewable Energy and Clean Technologies. He is directly involved in the development of numerous energy projects in South Africa. Ian’s experience as an engineer and project developer allows him to deliver practical advice and guidance to the industry from a commercial perspective, backed by an in-depth knowledge of the technical challenges associated with the implementation of Clean Technologies in the real world.
Ian is a registered Professional Engineer with a degree in Electrical Engineering, an MDP from the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business and post graduate studies in Environmental Engineering.
