Melody Morgan-Busher has advised numerous applicants seeking a European iGaming licence. Prior to this role, she set up the Compliance Department of the Maltese iGaming Regulator between 2004 and 2006 and conducted certification reviews when employed by KPMG Malta. She has helped operators devise their strategies, draft their business plans and design their internal controls in a practical and compliant manner.
Apart from focusing on licensing issues, Melody has gained operational and commercial exposure dealing with iGaming risk management and marketing strategies. She has also assisted in evaluating operators’ financial assumptions, accounting policies and forecasts. In 2008, Melody provided input to a vendor due diligence report on an operator which was sold for £100M+.
Melody is the author of “Online Gambling - Concepts, Operations and Controls”, soon to be published by Gower/Ashgate. This book will be an authoritative guide to the business models and financial arrangements applied in online gambling operations.
Melody has submitted a chapter to the Routledge Handbook of Internet Gambling (an academic study with three learned editors and about 15 other contributors from across the industry) which will be published in early 2012.
