Rita McGee, FCIPD, is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD. Previously HR Director of The Pepe Group, she now works as a consultant, tutor, facilitator and executive coach. She has worked in most areas of human resource management and development including positions as Director of Personnel and Non-Executive Director. She is a Member of the Institute of Directors, Chatham House, the Royal Commonwealth Society and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. She is also trained in psychometric testing. She was the Chair of the West London CIPD branch and their representative on the CIPD Council for three years until she stepped down in May 2009.
Rita is a published author and has completed five toolkits for the CIPD. The titles include: Employee Engagement (2011); Organisation Design and Capability building (2010); HR Strategy ( 2009); Managing Performance Problems (a mini toolkit) and Organisational Development and Change were both published in 2008; Talent Management and Succession Planning was first published in 2007 and the second edition in 2011..
In her consultancy practice she has been involved in the development of strategy and implementation of Human Resource practices. She is passionate about helping HR teams become more strategic and demonstrably adding value to their organisations. She designs and delivers an array of training programmes aimed at building organisational, team and individual capability.
She is trained in advanced facilitation skills and coaching and she regularly works with senior HR practitioners and business leaders on a one to one basis. She has worked in the UK, Europe, Middle East, India, Africa and North America.
