Rod entered the Logistics industry in the UK with Exel Logistics and worked in various sectors including, Parcels, Automotive, Consumer and Technology, but spent the majority of his time engaged in national distribution for Marks & Spencer.
Having joined the Exel Implementation team, Rod ventured into Asia in 1996 to fit out the first hanging garment warehouse in Jakarta and then moved to Bangkok to oversee construction and implementation of a 40,000sqm Distribution Centre for Supermarket chain Royal Dutch Ahold, under the Tops banner in Thailand. After project managing the design and build of a 65,000sqm export centre for P&G, Rod was deployed for the market entry operations in Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia and Pakistan for DHL Supply Chain.
